From Iowa to Namibia
--
Lutherans Share a Journey of Faith Together
We invite you to view some of the colorful photos from the 20-day journey to
Namibia that six members from the Northeastern Iowa Synod took in May 2009.
The group members
visited 17 churches, stayed in
homes and guest houses, and immersed themselves in the Namibian culture and
daily lifestyles of their hosts. Their goal was to build face-to-face
connections as part of the Companion Synod relationship that started nearly 20
years ago between the Northeastern Iowa Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran
Churches of Namibia.
During their journey,
the Iowa travelers witnessed firsthand the excitement that
Lutherans in
Namibia
have for their church as the center of their lives and how they live
their Christian faith with enthusiasm and joy.
The Iowa group would like to share their journey with churches, clubs
and organizations of Northeast Iowa. To schedule a presentation, call
the synod office at 319-352-1414 or email
webadmin@neiasynod.org.
