Wholly Iowa Youth Leadership Discipling Event

This annual event helps youth learn skills to become leaders in the church.

High school students have opportunities to delve deeper into their faith and practice hands-on leadership skills. Activities include large group sessions, small group discussions, daily Bible studies, devotions, free time, meals, and campfires.

The 2020 WIYLDE, originally scheduled for June 14-17, was postponed until June 2021.

Middle school students joined the closing session of 2019 WIYLDE

Fifteen middle school students joined the closing session of the 2019 WIYLDE to get a taste of what WIYLDE is like. This is the first year that younger students were able to experience their own “Junior WIYLDE.”

The annual Wholly Iowa Youth Leadership Discipling Event (WIYLDE) is designed to help high school youth learn skills to become future leaders of the church. The three-day event featured the theme “Walking WIYLDE,” which focused on the affirmation of baptismal promises.

High school students led the middle school youth through four stations of games, Bible study, and prayer. This group-building session gave the WIYLDE high school students an opportunity to practice their leadership skills, and the middle school students gained a first-hand introduction to WIYLDE activities.
