The Northeastern Iowa Synod is offering a series of seminars, webinars and special events to help congregations develop their best possible youth ministries.

Youth ministry leaders, volunteers, council members, pastors and parents planning to attend the 2012 Youth Gathering in New Orleans are encouraged to attend these free learning opportunities. Those who cannot participate in the live webinar can view the recorded webinar at their own leisure.

Getting Ready Training Event
Saturday, April 21, 2012
10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
St. John Lutheran, Cedar Falls, Iowa

This "Getting Ready" event will help prepare for the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans in July. Adults involved in youth ministry, adult leaders attending the Youth Gathering, and anyone else interested is invited to attend.

Adrian Walter, director of Youth and Family Ministry, First Lutheran, Decorah, will offer adult leadership training on topics such as how to lead a small group. Pastor Mark Anderson will offer specific information about the Youth Gathering and New Orleans.

A light lunch will be offered, so pre-registration is requested by calling the synod office, 319-352-1414, or sending an email.
